Environmental awareness & sustainability (April 25, 2026)

On April 25, 2026, the monthly Environmental Sanitation exercise for Lagos State was re-introduced. This exercise was held at the Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area, with the participation of over 100 individuals, including secondary school students.

The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Office of the First Lady of Lagos State and the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources as part of efforts to promote cleaner and healthier communities through regular environmental sanitation activities.

Activities carried out during the exercise included the cleaning of roads and gutters, proper collection and disposal of waste, as well as sensitization sessions aimed at educating students on the importance of environmental sanitation and responsible waste disposal practices.
